Yoga and me

Hi, my name is Jenny Green, and my yoga journey started when I was pregnant with my first child.
I was suffering from backaches (much like every other pregnant woman). The buzz around me was that it's worthwhile trying yoga. Some said it's an excellent exercise during pregnancy. Although hesitant, I decided to give it a go. The teacher and the class were very welcoming, and to my surprise, by the end of the lesson, my back was feeling much better.
It was then I first realized I'm on to something :).
This was over ten years ago, and quite a few things changed since but my passion for yoga and the self-inquiry it raises only gotten stronger.

Yoga became an integral part of my life and actually of our house. My kids and I often practice yoga together, and it brings great joy to our entire family.

I created this blog to share my enthusiasm for yoga. It's such an important part of my life, and I wish for other people to experience it in their lives as well. The benefits are many. Most of us are caught in this hectic race called life. Taking the time to focus on yourself, is neither obvious nor simple as we are so used to keeping busy at all times.

My mission is to guide you through your journey
in the fascinating yoga territory

There is so much to learn; it can be overwhelming at first. I know I was. In this blog, I try to provide some guidance through this process. Little by little you can then dive deeper. As much as you feel is right for you. Take your time.

One of the things I love about yoga is it doesn't care about definitions. Your gender, size or age doesn't matter. Everyone can find a place in yoga. Sometimes it's not right away. Not everyone clicks immediately. It can take time, and it's ok, it's all part of the continuous self-inquiry. I consider myself an eternal student as the learning process never really stops.
